PMI Q3 Financial Report: Total Number Of Smoke-free Users 36.5 Million; ZYN Sales in The US 149 Million Cans

On October 22, Philip Morris International (PMI) released its third-quarter 2024 performance report.

The report showed that the third-quarter revenue was US$9.91 billion, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year.

PMI's quarterly shipments of smoke-free products, ZYN nicotine pouches mainly, were close to 40 billion units in 92 markets around the world.

The smoke-free business accounted for 38% of PMI's total net income and 40% of gross profit, an increase of 1.9 and 2.2 percentage points respectively compared with the third quarter of last year.

Net income and gross profit increased by 14.2% and 15.9% respectively. The total number of users of smoke-free products reached 36.5 million.

 

ZYN: Sales volume in the U.S. market reached 149 million cans and has entered more than 30 markets
ZYN plastic can shipments of ZYN nicotine pouches increased 24.7%, driven primarily by growth in ZYN nicotine pouches in the U.S., where 149.1 million cans were shipped, a year-over-year increase of 41.4%.
